Yagudin (he sometimes knows something) has already said that Kolyada, Kondratyuk, and Semenenko are most likely on the team for Worlds.

They won't keep the spots without at least two of them, imo.
This list is very logical. Semenenko had the best results at the Olympics, and the other 2 are basically no brainers. Wonder if Kondratiuk will opt out, poor guy seems so exhausted (both physically and mentally).

He said it was mental fatigue of skating after feeling that he should be done as in a normal competition. The Worlds are in March, so I really hope he goes. The kid earned that trip. And if anyone even dares criticize his results if they are not stellar... (n)

I think Mark has enough time to recover until worlds. Can´t imagine he would want to miss his first worlds ever. And I think, after the season he had, he deserves to be there.

So who will be on the team for worlds you think? Which of these teams would be able to keep the three spots for next season?

- The three Olympians
- Semenenko, Kondratiuk, Kolyada
- Semenenko, Kondratiuk, surprise winner of the RCF
- someone else
I think the World’s team would be Kolyada, Semenenko, and Kondratiuk. If Kolyada isn’t named to the team outright, then I fully expect yet another game of musical chairs for the third spot.

At this point, I trust Semenenko to help keep three spots. After Kolyada, he’s had the best GP season and he’s been relatively steady all through the season.

I think Kondratiuk is reliable and I do think his issues in the individual competition were due to exhaustion and giving his all to the team event.

I think the Russian men would be able to keep their three spots (especially if certain skaters retire) and it should be easier to keep the spots than gaining one like last year.

Overall, I feel that the Russian men did okay at the Olympics. Well, Mozalev definitely could have done better, but I was not surprised by him barely making the free. He really needs to just take the 4S out and replace it with a triple. That worked great for Kolyada last season. He should take a page from that book.

I don’t think Mozalev can afford to compete with 1 quad since he doesn’t have Kolyada’s level of accomplishment. Not that he could afford to compete with 2 either… the next season is likely be a race for who can do 3 different quads and be more or less stable yet again. Mozalev was born ten or more years too late, I guess.

We will see. Right now, no Russian man has 3 different quads and is consistant at the same time. I think consistancy will be key again next season.

Still needs a minimum of 2, which still excludes Mozalev. Ignatov and Erokhov are atm the closest to 3 quad and stable formula. After watching Cha, I wish Mozalev could do those really, really, really cool triples along with his pretty 4T.

Kolyada is Kolyada and Kondratyuk is the national champion and did well in the team event, they're a lock for worlds (if Kondratyuk isn't worn out from Olympics). for the 3rd spot Semenenko is the most likely, who's competing at COR?

Aliev is struggling with his second quad right now as well. I don´t think he landed a clean quad lutz all season. His best SPs were the ones when he only jumped quad toe and a triple. But then he startet popping the axel :(

I just realized that the RCF starts on the 23rd.
The guys are still in Beijing and they're tired and exhausted. Mark had 4th programs in a row, Zhenya has back problems and Andrei probably has health problems too (idk what happened to him, but his shape just went somewhere after Europeans).
I'm pretty sure that the Olympians won't participate in the RCF.

The way the whole Mozalev Goes to Olympics went, it’s probably Covid… but with daily testing, we’d have known if he was positive.
