It's nice that they included Tuktamysheva and Kolyada too. Can we take this as an indication that they'll probably be on the worlds team then?
Pretty much. Thus, Kolyada’s reputation had been repaired. A lesson in the long game of flakey public opinion management. All efforts will be made to secure bronze for him at this year’s worlds, I am calling it. Love the intrigue, masterfully done, but still can’t help but feel bad for Mozalev.

Theoretically, a clean Kolyada could have gotten bronze at the Olympics, but we all know Misha is not one to go clean. I’m not sure Russia believes the guys who competed at the Olympics can bring the best result at worlds, and in a more depleted field Misha got the last world medal for Russia too, so there’s that.

100% expecting it to happen.

All I really want from senior RCF is for Erokhov to skate well enough to give himself a chance at the national team reserve next season. He's fought so hard and made such progress over the last two years, he deserves some recognition for it.
Even if it means that he invests all the funding into a new costume and ditches the lovely blue shirt which I've gotten so used to.

They’re just going to make it into the Team Bustaeva uniform. SP and FP and swap between skates.

And here is the senior men's podium of the Russian Cup Final!
Makar Ignatov (🥇), Alexey Erokhov (🥈), and Matvei Vetlugin (🥉)

 and thank you to all the competitors in the Russian Cup series! It was an exciting season, full of fantastic skates and spectacular splat fests, exhilarating performances and dramatic heart breaks. Here's to next season, may it be just as good!

Oh wow, they revised the score. My stream is still paused on when Aliev is scoring 233, into third. But as much as it breaks my heart, Vetlugin was better. I am with you hoping for Erokhov rising next season and getting GP. But that step sequences! Come on! Also, grats to Ignatov. He is so determined to continue to confound everyone!

Yes, as much as I love Dima's skating, they had to revise the score. I just realized when looking at the protocols again that he missed a whole jumping pass in the FS (probably after he fell so hard). It was not a bronze medal performance. Matvei deserved the podium, not a question about it.

I'm not even dreaming about a GP, but they could at least give him two Challengers to take the pressure off a little and give him a legitimate chance at a SB. The StSq needs a lot of work, as does the skating and posture in between the elements. In the FS he often gives me the impression that he's trying to make himself small. I'm sure he would have beautiful long lines if he'd just extend a little more. But the quads are strategically more important, otherwise there is no chance in Russia. The rest can come later. Still, he became my favourite among the Russian men together with Zhenya Semenenko. Objectively, both their skating is far from perfect, but to me they'll always be :points:.

That was awful. The deduction was apparently because they erroneously counted his 2S as 3S. I just hope he doesn't finish his career on this note.

Erokhov, despite his height has really light quality to his skating that I enjoy. As much as I love Samarin, I feel that Erokhov is just more interesting in the big and tall category. Right now things are not looking good for the field with injuries and less than perfect skates, but it is the end of the season, and I am convinced that they need to demolish that new arena in Saransk. It is processed by evil ice trolls!

Results of skaters who have tech minimums (according to the ISU list).
JNats
1) Ilya Yablokov - 227.99
2) Nikolay Ugozhaev - 227.82
3) Artem Kovalev - 225.65
5) Egor Rukhin - 223.93
6) Andrei Anisimov - 214.77
7) Kirill Sarnovskiy - 213.93

RCF
2) Artem Kovalev - 238.07
4) Ilya Yablokov - 229.17
5) Gleb Lutfullin - 227.01
6) Andrei Anisimov - 221.51
7) Egor Rukhin - 217.00
8) Kirill Sarnovskiy - 214.55
11) Nikolay Ugozhaev - 202.18

I think there're still some competitions where Vlad can get tech minimums (if he really doesn't have it), but I don't think it's possible to fly to Europe or/and get a visa now.
