Like I know they did make mistakes in the SPs but I'm still very much sad that neither Seoyeon nor Ahsun got a JGP medal this season, both are deserving (at least to my extremely biased eyes)I am sad that Seoyeon is going to be fourth again.
Yes, I was think about her technique, and somehow she reminded me of Kostornaia which is probably totally wrong. But there was something...lovely skater... not sure I like her jumping technique... but who am I to judge?
She’s actually better with that than she used to be—she used to come almost to a dead stop before takeoff. She does still have a way to go on this. The only criticism I would have is she seems to really lose speed going into her jumps.
I love love love her elusion spin. Best I've ever seen. A medal to the choreographer as well. The jumping technique is a a problem area. She makes the windmill arms move look so nice. What a competitor. She may skate like Sasha Cohen but she's got Zhenya's nerves of steel, even with slightly wobbly looking jumps. She does have exceptional air position which should help her going forward.
Ah, this is the first time I've seen her (I also watched her SP to catch-up this morning). She’s actually better with that than she used to be—she used to come almost to a dead stop before takeoff. She does still have a way to go on this.
That would be Mr Jeremy Abbott, and yes, I agree…Whoever worked on Alysa's skating skills and speed and made those huge improvements in a matter of months to her skating needs to work with Isabeau because that lack of speed and hesitation into her jumps can't continue as she grows and her body changes.
And now, at 4:14 am, I go to bed. Thank you lovely folks for keeping me company and helping me stay awake for my girls, see you tomorrow
