I appreciate what they were going for, I just don't think they got there- and ironically, it's because they weren't crazy enough. If you're going to be that out of the box you need to sell it 100%, and you could tell this couple was still devoting a lot of their mental energy to hitting their elements rather than looking like they were just going apesh**

I think that's a coaching issue as well. I don't think their coaches are doing favours in this regard, nor are the choosing the right music.

That pattern was quite short and didn't fill the rink from end to end, very short edges. I find Nikitin's knees either bent or awkward. I wish I got more jazz or upbeat energy or snappy tension which would match the Hit the Road Jack theme.
