My guess is Tessa and Scott will come in for the last two groups on CBC and not necessarily on the “full” livestream. When I looked it seemed like they were connected to the live Canadian feed which was showing ski jumping last time I checked.

I'm actaully quite liking the woman who is doing the commenting on CBC. Does anyone know who she is? The man is just the usual "I'm only here to give you background factoids and throw in a comment or two," but her commentary is knowledgeable and I would bet very helpful to the casual fan.

Yeah, I am always confused on why that is the case. Japan and Russia are majors powers in figure skating, so why is it still normally English language songs? Especially with K pop and anime being so popular right now in the US, sometimes more than English music and tv shows.

I’m so glad Kana and Dai used Japanese music for their RD. More teams need to be original like that.

Peacock's page for the livestream has a picture of only H/D and says "Watch Hubbell and Donohue in the RD." That's interesting to me since C/B are the current US champions. Wonder why?

HD are pictured on RD events and CB on FD for peacock

Forgive Olly (the man), he's new to commentating on figure skating (he usually does gymnastics and is very knowledgeable about it) and he does a much better job with names than others. The woman is Belinda Noonan, I believe

I wish K/R had a better RD for this year. They are so good, the deserve material that makes them stand out like the FD from last year. They could have down something so cool for the RD this year.

I would say because English is the widest spoken secondary language so there's a higher chance that the judges and the audience understand the music/lyrics. I do hope that music from more nations are introduced though, whether it's modern pop from other countries or world music like folk songs.
