If they send R/S to worlds maybe they could qualify 2 teams for next year and they both could go.

I think R/S will probably have a hard time making the top ten though cause as far as I know C/B, S/B and G/F all plan to continue skating after this year. And we don’t know what P/C or S/K are doing (although given Nikita’s back I imagine they will retire).

He clearly hasn’t been paying attention to RD protocol sheets this season if he really believes that. This season’s RD theme has tripped up many of the top teams.

It’s a shame Kana and Dai had fell in two critical competitions because their programmes and skating are far better. I’m glad they going to Worlds at least!

I would say because English is the widest spoken secondary language so there's a higher chance that the judges and the audience understand the music/lyrics. I do hope that music from more nations are introduced though, whether it's modern pop from other countries or world music like folk songs.

True, this might be the reasoning. The rise of K pop in the US has proven that we can be entertained without understanding all or any of the lyrics, but maybe the judges can't.

KOMATSUBARA Misato / KOLETO Tim (JPN)

I've seen them a bit better in the past, but they got through it well enough. I think they deal with the fast-slow-fast structure fairly well. Twizzles were a bit wobbly and careful and the midnight blues pattern could have deeper edges (only a Level 2 it seems). The pattern step also didn't have very difficult connections but it was safely done.
