2022 Winter Olympics: Rhythm Dance

These two are very fun to watch, she in particular really really emotes. I do think their being in this group didn't do them any favors, their quality is noticably lower than the teams that have come right before them.
They are not helped by the fact that they are one of the tinier teams.

FEAR Lilah / GIBSON Lewis (GBR)

Still not my favorite routine from this team, despite one of my favorite ice dancers. The rock 'n' roll doesn't suit them that well, almost thought they should have stuck with disco. Slower twizzles than most teams but I'm just glad Lewis got through the second set. I liked how they worked those curves in the midline but then they really struggled through the midnight blues - the edges just didn't seem deep and sharp enough. That said, I think they kept it together and presented to the crowd well.

STEPANOVA Alexandra / BUKIN Ivan (ROC)

Eh, I just wish they picked better music than this N'Sync mashup something. I think they're better than the music choice. Twizzles were just above average for them, could have had more ice coverage and better synch. They should get high levels for their midnight blue and pattern steps, maybe their hips could be closer. I think they were able to exude that hot hip-hop energy quite well and they're among the first pairs to sell that street dance vibe to me.
Your technical observations are correct, but 8th-grade me needs to tell you it's Backstreet Boys, not N'Sync ;) (not sure who the middle song is though)
