The rumor is that Ilia will jump the Quad Axel in the short! That would make his jumping passes a solo 4Axel, a solo 3Axel (as this is required in the short), and then a Quad-triple combo jump of some sort.

This would basically make this the highest BV possible under the current scoring system, as quad-quad combos are not allowed, leaving Ilia to upgrade the only room to upgrade the BV is to make the combo a 4Lz-3Lo (leaving the improbable combinations of -3F and -3Lz out of consideration). His planned program content does have a 4T, not a 4A, as his opening jump, so we'll likely know what jump he's going for when he starts his 6 minutes warmup.

I am old school I guess. I did like the line-up of Chan, Hanyu, Fernandez, Kozuka, Machida and Takahashi back then... It's hard to beat that one

This event could be incredible or a disaster. Some notable things: there are rumours Ilia will try the 4A as his solo jump in the SP, which would be the first time this has ever been done. (It's only a 2-point BV improvement from a 4F so I think it's not the place to try now but anyways) the top 4 men have all scored above 300, but Kao and Kevin aren't too far off either. This is Yuma's first senior GP Final, despite having competed on the senior circuit for 3 years now. This will be Shoma's sixth GPF, Ilia and Kao's second, and Adam's first.
