Mikhail Kolyada has announced on Channel One that he suspends his career.

@AlexBreeze, can you explain what he meant by "Suspend"? Does that mean he is not competing this year, but he may or may not come back, or that he is retiring from competitive skating?

Tatiana Mishina, in a conversation with Match TV, said that Mikhail Kolyada is still in thought.

"He is still thinking himself. So far, have made this decision. Final or not?.. He haven't talked to Alexey Nikolaevich yet, apparently, he decided to pause and think, see how and what will develop further"

So, Eunsoo Lim (Korea) officially stated her retirement 💔 I wish her all the best and hopefully she's happy now as a student and choreographer. She helps her former coach Hyunkyun Choi and has already made some beautiful programs for little skaters she published in Instagram recently. Moreover, she's a part of G-SHOW, big ice show in Korea. So, I really hope she's living her best times. Her achievements for korean figure skating will never be forgotten

hmm, should I add 'on hiatus' as category then? :scratch2:
Especially for Russian figure skaters  They don't like to say directly that they are ending their careers, they always suspend them. The last person to make an official statement about finishing, if I remember well, was Kovtun.

It wasn't meant like that. I meant it more like 'the competitive career is on hold'. Many figure skaters say that when they are not sure they are going to return or not.

Okay, I solved the language issue by writing 'taking a break', then. At least I hope I did. :]
I'm sorry to hear of EunSoo's retirement, although it was to be expected, with the Korean ladies being very strong recently, and the field only grows deeper. EunSoo was lovely on the ice.

Didn't I already say no more retirements were allowed? It's not an Olympic year so stop.:rofl::rofl:
climate change is messing up the post-olympic migration.

ETA... sorry i didn't mean to trigger a reaction with this unplanned pun... omg... forgive me : i put it in smaller font now :(
