Hope so too. Last season he just needed a little bit more to finish where his abilities were putting him imo.Last year I thought something barely can overcome Nikolay's programs, but now I know that Nemesis actually can! I liked all the choreo and emotions, it seems to me his presentation is even more matured now. It's a really bright and powerful program that can bring to him a lot of experience. Can't wait to see it with a costume! Hopefully it will be a happy music for Kolya!
I can't talk about the details right now, but Andrei's new programs very interesting and seems unusual. Anyway, I like it a lot, but I'm again alarmed about the jumping, there's a lot of choreography and acting. How successfully it will be combined, I don't know.i love when skaters do it and these two particular skaters can also pull it of![]()
Why such apocalyptic predictions? I think we will see Soloviov in the near future at the competitions in St. Petersburg. Perhaps he will compete in the adult program. It is high time for him to start his adult careerSo is Semion Soloviov attempting to change countries, or why is even his coaching staff acting like he doesn't exist anymore? Anyone knows what's going on behind the scenes?
Doesn't make sense at all. Going senior or not, by all established guidelines he should have been part of the Junior National Team and Junior Test Skates ahead of some of the boys who are there. The fact that he isn't means he is either injured, in which case I think we would have had a comment from his coaching staff at this point, or he had the "apocalyptic" idea of actually trying to salvage an international career. Why such apocalyptic predictions? He should not have been included in the Junior National Team as he did not qualify in the top 8 at the Russian Junior Championships. The rest of the qualifying events are for juniors under 17. Those are my presumptions at least, we will see.
Because he was in the top-8 at the Russian Junior Championships, and Soloviov placed 11th. That's why Loginov is in the national team's roster (reserve) and Soloviov is not.If everything is so crystal clear, would you care to explain to me then on what basis his team mate Kolya Loginov made it into both the Junior National Team reserve and to junior test skates ahead of Soloviov?
Semyon placed 3rd at the Russian Cup Final, which is a qualifying event for the National team, so he was indeed a legitimate choice. He should not have been included in the Junior National Team as he did not qualify in the top 8 at the Russian Junior Championships. Perhaps, given his successes at the FGP(R), he could have been invited to the junior skates not as a member of the national team, as Avtushenko and Puzin were invited. But, apparently, he is not so authoritative or he and his coach do not consider it necessary to show their programs now.
In September the qualifying competitions in St. Petersburg will begin, and gradually we will learn about Soloviev's plans for the next season.
Actually no, in juniors it's not a qualifying event. We have 4 qualification tournaments: the Russian Junior Championship, the Championship among girls and boys (senior age), the Zhuk Memorial and the Spartakiada. The results of the GrandPrix jf Russia finals could be taken into account when discussing candidacy, but for this to happen there must be success at one of these tournaments.Semyon placed 3rd at the Russian Cup Final, which is a qualifying event for the National team, so he was indeed a legitimate choice.
Ok, fair enough. And since when is it top 8 instead of top 6? Doesn't make much sense to choose top 8 from junior nationals and ignoring top 3 from the junior cup final when they are basically the same competition (in fact, qualification for the cup final last season was arguably more difficult than for nats).Because he was in the top-8 at the Russian Junior Championships, and Soloviov placed 11th. The top 6 are on the main roster for the national team, with the 7th and 8th spots considered reserve candidates.Ok, fair enough. And since when is it top 8 instead of top 6? Anyway, I don't think we will get anywhere here. I still believe something is up and just wanted to know if there is maybe some insider info from telegram or some such. But seems not, so we will just have to wait and see.
If it is not a qualifying event, then how come Viktoria Morozova is on the Jr National reserve team? Placing 11th at Jr Nats and 7th at older age novice nationals would not be considered as success (1-8 at Jr Nats for Jr National team; 1-6 at Older age Novice Nats for Novice national team), and so her 5th place finish at the Jr Russian Cup final shouldn't be worth anything.Actually no, in juniors it's not a qualifying event.
