Tara bit underscored on the 2A. Liked her quite a bit. Ya nevah know. Going to keep my eye on her if we get a chance to see her again.

Justine and Sara-Maude clearly the stand-outs in the first two groups. I agree that Sara skated a bit better, even with getting no points on her popped jump. Good for Justine completing the combo with a tacked on double at least after falling forward on landing of her first triple in what was meant to be a 3/3 combo. A bit of effort on the solo 3-loop lost her positive GOE. Plus overall, Sara's skating was a bit more smooth and flowing, though Justine has long lines and elegant presentation.

I'm waiting to see certain skaters in the final two groups. I don't usually find ladies discipline in figure skating that interesting outside of the top accomplished skaters. OTOH, the men tend to be interesting from top to bottom, and I enjoy watching most pairs and ice dance couples too.

Is Vlada one of those leftover skaters Rus gave out for free or is she from immigrant parents?

The fact that she's female but has no "a" at the end of her name suggests immigrant parents rather than being Russian-born.
