I worry for Isabeau's back leaning forward for the combo so much. Sure it it getting the job done, but I worry about a repetitive injury at some point. Beautiful intricate program and gorgeous spins and footwork.

This turned into a really great women's short program with many wonderful programs! Great from Isabeau! My favorite part of her short, besides the little jump she does after her double axel is her opening steps which aren't even a judged element. Good job under pressure!

With the caveat that she skated a clean short and should be proud, I personally would have Isabeau in 7th

I know people have said that a thousand times, but her jumps are so bad to look at. She seems like such a nice girl and has real qualities, but I really don't want her to win this against these other wonderful skaters.

I agree. I love big jumps and wish they were rewarded more.

Isabeau's stretch and attention to detail are another level. I also really love her music. But her jumps scare the crap outta me. Positive GOE is just not something that should be happening with any jump besides double axel.
That may improve over time? Hard to say.
