Wolter, Gjitenbeek and Cappellini (actually, there has been a last-minute change and Selby stepped in to replace Cappellini) destroyed everybody on the pattern step sequence.
9 out of 14 got Base level. Then three Level 1 and one Level 2 (Fear/Gibson).

At Lombardia Trophy (Gordon-Poltorak, Fermi and Tumanovskaya in the technical panel), 3 out of 15 teams got Base level. Two Level 3 and eight Level 2.
At Autumn Classics (Julia Rey, Balkwill and Chait), only 1 Base level out of 9 teams. Two got Level 3 and two got Level 2.

I spoke to one of the judges and well, they didnt see the compulsory pattern dance Steps on the ice that is why they distributed so many Level Bs....it will get better during the season. But it is a problem with those PStSeq without a CD pattern: It is much more difficult to see the steps done or not. In Junior's RD you have the Rocker Foxtrot and there it is much easier to see whether the compulsory pattern is there or not.
I sat in Block B in the first row and had a lot of fun, but who cares for the patterns at this stage? ;-) It is cool to see RDs danced to Guns n Roses instead of that ISU pattern dance music 40 times in a row!
