Gaukhar and Boyisangur from KAZ start carefully but with good ice coverage. They partner well and are fresh and different. Her lemon dress is fun. They never stopped smiling and are obviously enjoying themselves. Lots of changes in training base for them. Nice to see a team from KAZ. Lots of work to be done, but there is something endearing about them.

I agree - I saw them for the first time during 4CCs this year and really liked them. Definitely rooting for them!

Agreed. And at 4CC, they further endeared themselves to me by sitting in the stands to enthusiastically cheer on each and every one of their Kazakh teammates

Didn't notice that when I watched. Now I like them even more. As an aside, also getting to be a fan of a lot of the Kazakh men's skaters as well.

Wonderful performance by the Ukraine team!

They will surely make the free dance. And her dress makes me want various tropical fruits marinated in rum, which is a staple in my downstairs refrigerator.

They have spent their time honing their technique while in Montreal to good effect. They have improved quite nicely throughout the year. Her last name always making me laugh as it is very similar to the Ukrainian word for cabbage roll which is Holubtsi.

I always enjoy the Ukrainian team, but they really did well here! IAM certainly agrees with them. So awesome that IAM is helping them and Olivia Smart even helped them with an apartment.
