Isn't it basically confirmed now that Samodelkina is working with Raf since he was at Worlds with her?

Raf said at Worlds that he was waiting for confirmation from the Kazakh Fed for a full time arrangement. Which I translate as whether they will pay him. :)

Q: Samodelkina wrote on her social media that she is moving to California to train with you full-time. Is this true?

Rafael Arutyunyan: It depends on whether the Kazakhstan Figure Skating Federation can provide her with this opportunity. From my side, I’ve given my approval for such an arrangement.

Louie Fukuda-Wu (Canada, 9th at 2025 Jr Nationals) looks to have switched to representing Taiwan.

Connaught SC posted about him winning Junior Men at the 2025 Chinese Taipei Figure Skating Elites Skating Cup. From Google Translate, it looks like he'd need to be registered to the federation in order to compete, or else he'd be an exhibition skate.

RUS, pairs

Iuliia Artemeva/Aleksei Briukhanov from Pavel Sliusarenko to Tamara Moskvina.
I’m glad to hear that they are still skating. I was getting a bit worried as things have been very quiet on them all season. I think it’s a good move for them, beyond the Top 2 it’s quiet open for 3rd in Russia.

I was thinking he was going to be one of the strongest US men skaters in the next couple of years. So no. He'll finish the quad maybe to try for the Oly team and then leave skating for school? I think that'll be a loss for US skating. But good for him for following his heart. Or maybe it was his head.

It seems to me he'll still skate at the elite level as he studies at Stanford. It is a big sports school- lots of Olympic athletes like Katie Ledecky juggle both school and sports while attending Stanford.

Oh I read it as a "Thanks-for-the-memories. Moving on." Hoping are you 100% correct and I am 100% wrong.

In his post, Lucas gave thanks to "everyone who has inspired me to seriously pursue this sport alongside my academic education."

That sounds like Lucas is interested in doing both. I guess we'll see. He is probably planning to play it by ear. If injuries continue, he may opt to retire and focus solely on school. In the interim, it looks like he has not lost his desire to continue his skating career, especially with his switch to the Cricket Club.

I take it that Lucas was thanking his long-time coaches, not saying goodbye to the sport.

Ice Dance

Ekaterina Andreeva/Dmitri Blinov (BLR) from Alexei Sitnikov and Julia Zlobina to Denis Samokhin

Aleksandra Prokopets/Aleksandr Vaskovich (RUS) from Elena Maslennikova and Ilya Averbukh to Denis Samokhin

Tachlers, CZE, Id are changing coaching team but I don't quite get where. There ae Us anbd Finland's flags on their post.

Edit. Looks they will train mainly in Finland. So it must be Maurizio's team. Please correct if understood wrong.
