this is the reason I don't read yt chat

better than try to be the messiah of the same planet

no! i didn't know that! we had Elton John and Rupaul, but in the 90s
Boney M was very popular in PL and 70 were some sort of golden age of Polish People's Republic. The banner says it was in 1979, just next year we had Solidarity and in 1981 military junta due to alleged possible intervention of USSR if we won't put off people's movement and protests.

thank you, i like to know new things. i have a shallow knowledge of the events that interested Europe after WWII (i know better what happened after the 1st crusade :ROFLMAO:) i knew of solidarnosc, Walesa and the rumored role Karol Wojtila had in it

tbh I'm more interested in crusades and ancient Rome than in XX century history, but you know, my parents told me everything from their own experience

Welcome to the fan side of the world of skating.

Kaori looking over shoulder...?
Not for a while, Mao doesn't reach seniors till after Milan. And like all skating prodigies, she has to get through puberty, but now they can't rack up seniors wins before they do.

I am a bit confused here...
One. Mao will skate a Sr. Nats in Japan.
Two. What does Puberty have to do with anything? I am not refering to puberty blocking drugs alledigly being given to some skaters, but the fact that Lucinda Ruh said, IIRC, in her book "Frozen Teardrop", that her athletism set her puberty back to her 20s????
Yes, Mao is at a bad age for Senior international comps for sure....

You're right about Nationals, but Mao is still stuck in juniors internationally, and therefore cannot take over as the one in the public eye. I honestly think Kaori may be overtaken this year though I love her and would be happy to see her keep going at the top.

All juniors have to deal with body changes, it's a running thread all over the forum. And Lucindah may have done that, but we have seen plenty of junior prodigies, world and JGPF winners who never made it in seniors partly because of it. Mao may be lucky.

ITA, but I would only add that in Japan, being the National Champion carries much prestigue.
Yeah...the body changes are a fact of course...some make it through better than others.
Being a big Kaori fan , looking at her getting ready to leave her coach and go skate, she didnt look good. Ted said she had a rough practice. Dont know if anything is going wrong mentally or physically or with an illness but something is not right. And now Amber complained about her back. :(
Long term, Kaori has the same issue as Jason Brown....the high value jumps have alluded them for what ever reason....its a long time and its a short time to the next olys....
