3/3 messed up short programs.. How is that possible with such clean Free skate? It's killing her overall score so badly every event.Sad to see this.

And this fuxxxng camera man is getting cut off before Saturday or it will get personal

Short programs are not her friend. The little stumbling at the very beginning, does it affect to scores?

Rino is such a pleasure to watch, and jumps are made up anyway. Her knees are so soft, and she flows so beautifully across the ice. There was a little travel on one of her spins, as well, but that was a well-deserved level 4 on her step sequence.

Such a shame that Rino once again has major mistakes in the SP. I fear that cements her fate of not making the Japanese world team. She is capable of being so brilliant in the FS, but at this level of competition and against the likes of Sakamoto, Higuchi, and Chiba, she can’t consistently make such costly errors and be on the Japanese world team.

Ahhh Rino, too bad about the fall but I'm glad she landed her combo. 62 is not a bad score!

I wonder if she should just get rid of the lutz in the SP, as she seems nervy in SP maybe a 3Lo would be better for her.

Even with the mistakes, that was a nice show from Rino. Her skating skills are always brought up and for good reason. Those edges are to die for. I'm sure she was nervous.

A costly fall on triple lutz aside ... this was very lovely from Rino. The song reminded me Ashley Wagner and the fact that I literally do remember her falling ... only once in the actual program - also she'd hardly ever pop a jump, yeah - she was one of these skaters that was actually more reliable with jumps in competitions than in training IIRC.

Mone isn’t giving enough energy to interpret the uptempo of this music and that 3flip did have questionable rotation. I LOVE her free leg extension on her 2Axel though.
