The knee bandage is the result of an old, now chronic injury. Pretty sure she said she had surgery on it a few years back, but still experiences pain in the knee especially when skating.

I'm slowly becoming a Julia Sauter fan. That 3Lz was INCREDIBLE! If I recall correctly, she works part-time to support her skating career and still has managed to improve so much over the past few years.

She used to work three jobs to afford skating. Currently she's receiving some funding. A great example of a mature skater getting better with age.
