For me, the Browns are not skating up to this music - it overwhelms what they are doing. Their movements are not fast enough or big enough. They do not match the music at all. Just my opinion.

Oona & Gage skated with improved speed and attack that was really working until the lift went awry. Now they are slowing down and being a bit careful. This is still an amazing and difficult program to perform and the interpretation is unique and special. The ending footwork sequence is amazing and reminiscent of Irish step dancing.

well i love the Browns, but i'm not loving what IAM is doing with them

Well, they certainly found a way to blow their lead. The funny thing is that mistake really woke Oona up. She looked nervous and slow before and much better afterward. On the other hand, Gage had some level issues after that......

Their packaging issues are likely just financial issues. Unlike most ice dancers, they aren't from a wealthy family. They can't remake their costumes 5 times or get new choreo if the first attempt doesn't work. I don't like this FD, but I like them.

Isn't taste a funny thing, I'd have never thought that Lopareva/Brissaud's RD and Oona and Gage's FD would be sorted into the same category but they are, i.e. polarizing programs

It screams junior. I think that is their biggest problem. Every thing about them screams junior.

Yeah I think so but I would include B/S as well. While I am not a fan of Z/K they have improved a lot considering their short time together whereas I would’ve expected the Browns to improve a lot more but they seem to have stagnated. I’m still rooting for G/P for the third spot!

Oona & Gage - I love you because you are different and special and develop interpretation in a different way than anyone else and that many could not perform. Keep at it, make adjustments as needed - the season is not over yet. Better to make your mistake now rather than at Nationals.

They came in the FD as the top US team after the RD, but I see that skate dropping them to the lowest US team here.
