2024 Finlandia Trophy Women's Free Skate

Well Rino getting scammed with Stsq lvl 3,but she also pays for her mistakes in short programs.

Overall again not going above 200 anyone where judges where giving lvl 4 for everyone literally.Weak competition with classical Japanese on the front.Nothing changes.

Onto last Grand Prix and redemption arc for Korea and Chaeyeon Kim.

congrats, Galaxy queen for your gold!:jump::cheer2::cheer2:

ppppst, you know that both my babies got a bronze today? just in case you missed that:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: and to all the naysayers i have a message from the universe

So far, we have three Japanese women in the Final - Hana with a gold and bronze will be in. Rino is in a bit of a tricky situation, she will likely be in with two silvers, but we still have to see at CoC about Mone and Rinka (both silvers with a higher first score than Rino at SCI). We also have Amber and Chaeyeon at CoC, and things get interesting if Amber is fourth or third, Chaeyeon wins, and Mone second with a high-enough score. Both Amber and Chaeyeon will qualify with a gold, and Mone will win the tiebreak over Rino. That being said, that will require a lot of chaos, but you never know.

DISREGARD ALL OF THIS, I CAN'T DO MATH

Rino will be fine, she has 26 points, Chaeyeon can't catch her :palmf:

OK, so take two: she would need Mone second with a high-enough score, Amber 3rd, and either Rion or Rinka to win to not qualify. As long as just Mone and Amber make the Final, she's fine

Hana took that crown!!!!!!!!!!
👑
Hana and Ahsun were the only skaters out of 7 that picked up crowns.
it's my fault, I've chosen wrong sector, not knowing beforehand about the gap on longer side of the rink, so I can only blame myself and just possibly make less stuff if I'm not sure about delivery.
After all, I hope all skaters got theirs and they will make them smile.
The little backstop is that after men's FS my friends asked coordinator of flower girls if crowns may be get into KnC and they got response that yes, flower crowns could offer crowns to be accepted by skater. Yet none of that happened during ladies' FS. I honestly feel like I just should stop doing this much, maybe that will be for the better, less disappointment :)

Don't be too hard on yourself. It's sometimes hard to tell when buying seats where we end up... I bought first row seats for Canadian Nationals... but strangely, nobody is buying in that section and it's not really because of price because they are buying everywhere else LOL...

So maybe they know I am sitting there and don't want to sit close to a crazy fan LOL or maybe there's something bad about that section ???

So one event with harder crown delivery shouldn't make you doubt yourself. If it gives you pleasure (we know if gives skaters happiness) don't worry and keep at it :)

There are 2 other possibilities as well where Rino won't qualify I think?
Mone wins, Rinka 2nd with high enough score, and Amber 3rd. Or,
Rion wins, Rinka 2nd with high enough score, and Amber 3rd.

Of course I really want my baby in the final, but I'm trying to rein in my hopes and excitement in case these specific edge cases happen 😅

If Amber doesn't deliver, we might have an all Japanese final.

Next week will be fierce. 2 places left and Amber, Mone, Rinka to fight for them. Chaeyeon and Kimmy also have a chance, but they need to win the competition.

Medvedeva had no idea what she was starting when she fell on that cartwheel all those years ago...😂
When did she do a cartwheel? I don't remember that.

Makes me think when will we see the first back flip from a woman since it was eligible? Or has someone already done it at a competition?

Anyway a great podium. Extra happy for Lara looking more confident. Rino is lovely to watch. Love that my favorite Hana goes for the 3 axel. And with it failing she still gives us a great performance :dance3:

GO Amber!

About Nella. She has had her matriculation exams too. It is hard to explain if you don't know Finnish system but she has passed five big examns during this autumn. It is a big thing to do when you are a national team athlete. So well done in her circumstances.
