2024 Grand Prix de France Women's Free Skate

A lovely skate for Livia - her opening combination received over a point in GOE in live scoring. I really enjoyed the way she varied arm position in the jumps: the 3F-2A-2T had every variation, rippon-normal-tano, the 3Lz-2T was rippon-tano, and her final 3Lo had a genuinely nice tano.

I am not sure why anyone would want to screw Aranjuez that much....

It's already a guitar concerto... no need to flamenco it up and actually put a violin on top

wrong choice... and since it is upsetting me, i am forgetting to watch the skate.

can you get some mon cheri? they're my favourite liquor pralines and the best in my opinion

Misha Ge did her FS, right? I don't know exactly why but I'm not into any of his programs for the Japanese women this season, it's not because I don't like his style (I enjoy the programs he did for our girls, for instance) so...

Mai's struggled a lot with the jumps since returning to competition. All things considered, this was a good program for her - right away you can see the quality of all of her elements and her skating. I understand why she needs to check out before the jumps, but she's such a good performer the rest of the time (just look at that step sequence!) that you really feel the disconnect before the jumps. The second-half conditioning just wasn't quite there - understandable, again, because of the injury and time off - but maybe her team could have back-loaded 3T or 3S at the end to make this program a little easier. At least she seems very happy with this program, and the audience is very warm and supportive of her (as they should be).
