This is annoying me. I recognise the music that Denis LE GUIFF (FRA) is skating to, but I can;t think what it is.

That is a very futuristic costume that Denis is wearing. I really like it! But, when you look at him, you wouldn't expect him to bewearing something like that.

As soon as I saw Salvatore DAMIANO (ITA), I knew we were going to get an "Aladdin" programme!

Fun programme to "Friend Like Me".

Aha! Alessandra TAGLIABUE (ITA), who started off the day, and some of the tribe that were with her are back again to support Salvatore.

He goes into 2nd position.

As soon as I saw Massimiliano PITTA (CHE), I knew we were going to get an "Back To The Future" programme!

He was dressed just like Marty McFly!

Part of the Main Theme followed by "The Power Of Love" by Huey Lewis And The News.

And he has some very attractive girls accompanying him.

He goes into 3rd position.

And that is where I am leaving you to eat.

Oh, we're going straight onto the final group of Bronze Men. I was hoping for a resurfacing.

We stay with the Men, but move from the Bronze III gentlemen to a group of 3 Bronze I + II gentlemen.

We return to the Silver Ladies for the start of a Level II double bill. 26 Silver ladies; followed by 29 Bronze ladies. The 26 Silver ladies are arranged into two groups of 6; followed by two groups of 7.

I'm watching while eating, but I had to break away to comment about the skater that finished Group 1, Kristina KORHONEN (FIN).

I don't know what it is about Finnish skaters, but that was mesmerising.

She was skating to an orchestral version of "One Moment In Time", and it was so beautiful.

And it was beautiful seeing her family, including what I assume are her little son and daughter. Although, the little boy clearly wasn't as impressed with his Mummy's skating as I was - he was sitting there sleeping!

No surprise at all to me that she took the lead.

Don't think I've seen Kristina before, but after seeing that, I am definitely a fan.

Just while the resurfacing was happening, I was doing some thinking.

When I was looking up Jana PŘIBYLOVÁ (CZE) earlier, I found a story from last August saying that she had been inducted into the Czech Book Of Records for being their oldest competitive skater, at the age of 77.

And I am now starting to have doubts as to whether she is the same skater that was runner up at Nationals in the 1985-86 Season. Because that means that she would have been 40 then. I know the sport has changed a lot since those days, but how likely is it that somebody that was 40 could have finished on the podium in their National Championships two years in a row?

Can any of our Czech or Slovak members confirm whether or not if it is the same lady?

May I just add - I hope it is! That would be so impressive if somebody that was winning medals in their National Championships at what is considered an advanced age for a figure skater at the time I was born was still competing!

Just to recap on the first three skaters of Group 3.

Aurore LATOURNERIE (FRA) was doing a "Grease" programme, and I loved it!

Also loved Claudia BRÜNN (DEU).

And Daniela VALLONI (ITA) who just skated is the skater I pointed out that had her face painted. And both of the skaters she was supporting earlier, Alessandra TAGLIABUE and Salvatore DAMIANO, were sitting on the floor in front of her. And they did some poses that were supposed to be scary, but were just funny!

I was definitely getting Zhiganshina / Gazsi vibes from Daniela's programme!

She went into 6th position.

Whoa! I just looked up Daniela VALLONI (ITA), and if it is the same person, she was a Judge at a whole pile of competitions in Italy the past few seasons!

Who would have thought that a Judge would do that sort of programme?

It wasn't just the costume that wasn't my taste. The music wasn't either. But, she skated well.

I take it she is a Berliner, since the lady sitting beside her is waving a flag of Berlin.

Talk about a contrast with the skater that followed, Olga LEVIEN (NZL)! She was wearing a beautiful green dress, and skating to a song I love, "Bang Bang" by Nancy Sinatra.

The skating wasn't bad either!

She goes into 8th position. And was delighted!

My goodness! I know this is the second youngest level of Adult skating, but Małgorzata KWIATEK (LUX) doesn't look old enough to be competing in an Adult event!

There's a guy holding a big Luxembourg flag behind her, but there are also lots of smaller Polish flags being held by the people sitting around her!

The announcer was really struggling with pronouncing her Polish name at the start of the Warm-Up, but somebody must have had a word with her because the way she pronounced it when announcing the scores sounded a lot more, well, Polish.

She goes into 10th position.

A Japanese skater skating to "East Of Eden". Never seen that before.

Beautiful.

Oh, Yoshie YANAGIBASHI NOGUCHI (JPN) only went into 12th position. That was a surprise.

The last of the six British skaters, Lindsey WISEMAN, was skating to "Defying Gravity". I've never seen anybody skate to that before, but I enjoyed it. It's started me wondering why it isn't skated to more often. Maybe the skaters think they are tempting fate!

And I missed her position while writing this!

And she was followed by another first - Barbara STELE (ITA) was skating to "The Hanging Tree".

Am I going mad? I looked it up to find out who was singing it, and Wikipedia says it was written for "The Hunger Games", and sung by Jennifer Lawrence. But, I could have sworn that the song had been around for a lot longer than that. Right back to the 80's at least!

Great programme.

The whole tribe was back for her, just like they were for all the other Italian skaters.

She goes into 11th position.

Wow. We finish with another beautiful programme by a Japanese skater. And again it does not finish as high as I would have expected.

Makiko UCHIKAWA (JPN) goes into 18th. But, she is delighted.

I just looked her up, and I can confirm that that is definitely a wig she is wearing. Rather than that mass of hair, she actually has really short hair.

I'm just trying to work out - is this programme from Cheryl HENG (SGP) the first medley we have had today? I think it is.

I can tell you something - she is defintiely the first skater wearing butterfly wings!

Awwww. The other Singapore skater that was doing the Silver II competition, Song Ying Daphne Elaine TAN, is sitting with her. And now that I think of it, I think Cheryl was sitting with Song Ying when she got her scores.

Now this is not the sort of programme you expect a Japanese skater to do in a competition. This is more like the sort of programme that you would get in the gala!
