I was as well when I first saw came across her a couple of months ago. But, it's actually just "Kee-lin".

Finding this out made the penny drop for me. Because there used to be a family that lived up the road from me, and they had two daughters. One of them was called Cara, and the other had a name that was pronounced "Kee-lin". And this always confused me, because that is the same way that the boy's name Caolán is pronounced. So, I take it her name was Caoilfhionn, and I just never realised.

Yep, that's it. (Somebody else a few weeks ago wrote it phonetically as "Sir-sha")

I guess actress Saoirse Ronan has popularised the name, meaning it is not as baffling to non-Irish speakers (like me!) as it used to be.
