For a skater returning after a whole season without competitions, that was a very solid skate. Elegant skater, with lovely extension.

Internet died at the start of Elena's programme, but came back in time for her lovely 3S. The jumps that I saw were good, as was her final spin. She gives an impression of self-possessed calmness on the ice. Lovely skater.

Poor Emmi, that was really rough... It looked like she just wasn't there at all mentally. She still has a lovely movement quality, and obviously just had an off day.

Oh dear. But I have no idea what she is capable of as I have never seen her before. She has been 15th in juniors at nats last season.

Internet says I can only watch half of Emmi's free skate as well, came back in time for her Ina Bauer, which was nice. I presume it was not the skate she wanted with the jumps, based on her reaction. From the replay, she has pretty arms and uses her upper body well in her performance at the start. Good flexibility in her spins too.
