Is anyone else having a problem with the volume? I've had to turn it up so far it'll shatter my eardrums if I forget to turn it back down before watching something else.

I suspect that ISU channel (with Ted's comments) is coming from a local broadcast in Taipei, which reduced the quality from the original signal transmission. Actually, when I was watching the competitions LIVE at the arena, the audio system was set with EXTREMELY load sound that it brought headaches after watching for a while. (But I kind of understand that because the arena is with high rise ceilings and is too spacious.)

This team's music came in louder than the other teams so far...possibly because it's the hardest rock we've heard so far. Clearly, they turned it up to 11!

it is .. i have some kids who, at 14, already grow beards and staches... so considering ice dancers can be up to 21..

When I read their names like this, I thought "isn't that the name of a former American Idol contestant?"

It nearly was. The guy I was thinking of is called Taylor Hicks. (He won the 2006 series),

And appropriately enough after that thought, the next partnership is skating to former American Idol judge Paula Abdul!

Kristina reminds me so much of my kid Angelina Kudryavtseva from when she and Ilia Karankevich were skating in Advanced Novices.

And speaking of Angelina and Ilia, I am in that strange position where I am really looking forward to their comeback, and really nervous at the same time. It's just 2 hours until their group's Warm-Up.
