Is it just me or the music has been randomly reducing in volume mid-program for the last few skaters?
It really killed the crescendo and the build-up of the program for me

Jia does her best to counteract Mao's TES advantage by backloading her lutzes and highest-value combos. Her movement quality is just so good, probably better than several senior skaters right now, and her elements are just gorgeous as well. It will be very close, but I think Mao's technical advantage and that last spin will make up the difference between them.

Okay I'm suddenly tearing up. Jia has a very strong heart. I really wish there's a way to tell her that even though that won't win the gold, her performance is very meaningful to me.

Last spin aside, that was a great skate from Shin Jia. I think it’s going to be a personal best for total score. Little’s Mao got it, though.

Oh Jia that was sublime even with the botched spin.
To beat Mao judges have to give her 70+ PCS (that she deserves honestly).

As long as they're generous with Jia too, I don't care; I prefer a strict tech panel but the thing I want most is a consistent tech panel, and as long as they ignore Jia's lutz edges and the odd q here or there, I think it will be fair. Based on the TES staying the same for Jia and Mao, I think they were equally kind to both of them.
