2025-26 Programs By Discipline

This articles says Kao Miura has two candidates for FS:

One is the one we already know about:
FS: The Phantom of the Opera medley: "The Opening;" "Ouverture;" "Hannibal;" "The Music Of The Night;" "The Point Of No Return;" "Chandelier Crash;" choreo by Benoit Richaud

The other is:

FS: The Last Samurai soundtrack; choreo by Eiji Iwamoto

He is going to practice both of them and pick the one that works best for him.

I had come up with a really smart comment to reply with, but then realised that I was thinking of the wrong TV series. :palmf: :slink:

So, I'm going to suggest something from a completely different TV series instead.

Maybe he is skating to this:

Especially for you! :)

Thank you. I really enjoyed that. Not sure I can imagine it being skated to, though.

Getting back to the cartoon, and I can imagine the music I linked to (which is what was played during the end credits) being good for skating to.

It was funny. Before finding the video I linked to, I watched a video of the opening titles (which, strangely, didn't have much in the way of music). And when the characters started to appear, I recognised them and realised that I DID actually watch the cartoon when I was a kid. So, apologies for telling you that I didn't watch any "Dungeons & Dragons".

Now that I remember the cartoon, I'm curious to know what the films are like. So, I'm going to start keeping an eye out for them.

And if it hadn't been for you mentioning "Dungeons & Dragons" to me all those months ago, it wouldn't have popped into my head when this conversation cropped up, and none of this would have happened.

So, thank you.

:thank:

:hijacked:

the film isn't bad but has the same flaw as many Disney/Marvel movies, too many jokes. if you're a player there're a lot of easter eggs for you but the plot is veeeery simple so i don't know if you would enjoy it without being a player

Seen several tweets now that Yuma Kagiyama will skate to Turandot for his FS. Didn't see a source for it so far.

Here's a source, choreographed by Lori Nichol and arranged by Christopher Tin:

Nothing on the exact pieces of music, but Chock/Bates are going to have a contemporary flamenco program for their FD.

It's a new arrangement by Christopher Tin & Lori Nichol (Tin did the music for Rino Matsuike and Sota Yamamoto's frees last season) that was recorded at the Abbey Road Studios in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the English National Opera, so hopefully it won't be too warhorsey? Also that is actually so cool, getting Turandot remixed by an incredible composer (who apparently spent 2+ months on it and the piece might be released as a new single?) for the Olympic season is next-level.
