2025-26 Programs By Discipline

@spatzchen

Do you have any more info on this piece of music?

Lofoten is a group of islands in Norway with a chamber music festival. There are several songs with its name in the title?

Geonhee Kim KOR
FS: "Lofoten;" choreo by Yeaji Shin

According to Yuseong’s ISU bio, she’ll be skating to the Titanic soundtrack! (I guess the choreo is by Yeaji since she’s still listed there?)
Yeaji also posted a snippet of Yujae’s free to the Rings of Power/Lord of the Rings, but her bio is still listing Swan Lake as her free so we’ll see which she chooses to go with :)
Her bio is still for 2024-2025. I suppose we will have to wait for the next bio update to know whether Titanic is still there.

I think they had them updated early because they’re competing at Thailand Open this week, but we’ll see what they choose to do!

Ami Nakai JPN

FS: Who is She (from "Cinderella" soundtrack) by Patrick Doyle; Courage and Kindness (from "Cinderella" soundtrack) by Patrick Doyle; La Valse Champagne (from "Cinderella" soundtrack) by Patrick Doyle
So happy !!!! it's a very good program and she does it pretty well so I would not complain to see it one more season

Interesting, but I always wait for the music. It is typical these days for skaters to make many choreographer changes.

Mone Chiba JPN
SP: choreo by Guillaume Cizeron
FS: choreo by Lori Nichol
Quite surprised that Mone and her team decided on a new choreographer for the Olympic season. Has Kinoshita Academy ever worked with Guillaume in any choreography capacity before?

I just hope Guillaume is doing something great for her!

There is an interview that says Kevin Aymoz is returning to Bolero for his Olympic season free skate.

Translation by Google:
Skate Info Glace: Do you still plan to use the Boléro as your free program for the Olympic year?

Kevin: Yes, I want to use this program again because I couldn't finish the season with it. At the European Championships, I only did the short program, and at the French Elite Championships, it wasn't good. So it stopped at the final, where it was average. In reality, I've only really skated it twice. This program deserves to be revisited. I know many will tell me that Boléro is over. I love it. This music transports me, and for an Olympic year, I think it brings something special. I know I can modify the program, bring something new to it, and I'm looking forward to the challenge. I'm going to change the costume a little. I don't think I'll change the shape, but maybe the stitching or the texture. I want to bring a fresh take, because wearing the same costume would make me feel like I'm reliving the past. I love creating costumes with Astrae. If I could buy them all the time, I would (laughs).

Skate Info Glace: Do you have any ideas for the short program?

Kevin: I have seven or eight pieces of music in mind. There are two that stand out in particular, but they're completely opposite. The real question is: what do I want to tell this Olympic season? This year, I experienced a super fun program and another very emotional one. Both worked well. The two pieces of music I currently have are in that vein, each in its own style. So I'm going to think, sit down, and see what speaks to me the most.

Rinka Watanabe JPN
SP: Get Lost from Moana 2
FS: JIN (recycled from 2022/23)
choreo by Kenji Miyamoto

*edited to add: she said she’ll probably still use her current FS (María de Buenos Aires) throughout the season, but wants JIN to be her main program
