2025-26 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 3 - Kazan

Feels like B/K's careers are on the line here. If they make an error again and lose again it will be total devastation. A victory might be the changing of the guard.

Yagudin and Kolyada discussed that he might have did his boots really tight to land jumps. Apparently, looser lacing helps showing edges, and tighter one for jumping

Thanks for the info, I was a bit worried for him for a moment there

A bit off-topic but Aliev has just posted on his social media "I miss the ice".

Aliev and Chaplygina are not.

It's good to have some sort of news from Dima :) but too bad if he can't make it to Moscow, there will be only one stage left. As this point, maybe the best is if he can recover for Nationals and be admitted based on being a National team member out because of injury.

Artemeva/Briukhanov pity about the mistakes at the start, then it was very nice.
They have many really nice qualities. It's a pity the sbs jumps are not one of them. Her run out on the throw jumps are very nice, they have a good twist and move very well together enough so it often offsets the points lost in the jumps. But, they end up in 3rd or 4th place instead of 1st or 2nd every time.

Yeah looks like he has lost some weight or muscle this season too.
I really wish we had reliable height/weight statistics for athletes. I am interested in anthropometrics. I know Galliamov was 190lbs+ in the off-season and still looked skinny. Given this it's hard to imagine he's only 186cm but this is his official Olympic record from when he was fully grown. It definitely shouldn't be underestimated. These things are always overestimated if anything. Basketball & Football metrics are completely disconnected from reality.
