2025-26 Russian Junior Grand Prix - Stage 2 - Magnitogorsk

Kasisns/Bregei belong among junior favorites this season but unfortunately this SP was not their best thanks to Alexanders fall.

Kovyazina/Mokhov well done, they skate their second GP stage back to back but look fine.

Shayakhmetova/Berislavskyi - the problem is that Redneck track is very fast so the tempo of their skate did not really correspondent with the pace, but technically very solid.

Technical score is very low though.

OMG, a team doing an unusual layout for once? Not doing the twist first and doing the throw as the second-to-last element? Groundbreaking.
(Not sure about the lift though, I don't think he extended his arm fully in the first half of the lift. And yep, the TES went way down.)

Yes, as I guessed, Shayakhmetova/Breslavskyi lost the entire lift. Super costly (and stupid) mistake, one that will definitely teach them a very important (if a little painful) lesson. A level four 5RLi (which is what they were aiming for) would add 7+ points to their score, putting them much closer to the top 3 here.

Tretyakova/Samorukov are obviously still in an earlier stage of development, but the material chosen for them is so appropriate for their age and skill level, well done to their coaches and choreographers :)

Well, you can never go wrong with Cirque du Soleil in my book. A great 4Tw to start off, ambitious (but not quite successful) planned content - Very promising. if only he starts fully extending those arms on the lifts (not sure he did here either - They looked bent to me, but I am not on the tech panel, so what do I know. Coaches, get on that asap.)

Loved the costumes as well. They are not polished yet, but boy do they have future potential.

Not a great skate for Cousins/Bregey either, unfortunately :( I guess they're not dealing well with the pressure of being one of the top teams going into this season, hope they can do better next time.

Kira is obviously mad at herself because of the step-out but otherwise nice. Although I was hoping for a new free skate for them.

Some messiness on the sbs jumps for Domozhirova / Vegera, but otherwise really good. She's upset at herself, but there really is no need for that :)
