I know this is the wrong thread, but does anyone know why Sophia Glover and Billy Wilson-French withdraw from the Junior Ice Dance competition? I wonder whether they've split? If so, I wonder if he would partner the amazing Ashlie Slatter.....

They said it was due to illness for Sophia.

Billy is 21, so it wouldn't be a good partnership since this is his last season of eligibility for Juniors.

Thanks for the clarification - sorry that Sophia's ill - what a shame for them to miss nationals.

Billy is such a talented ice skater - I'd really like to see him doing well (whichever country he represents).

Sophia and Billy haven't progressed as I expected, so I wouldn't be that surprised if they split (and wouldn't be surprised if they continued together, either). I don't think Ashlie and Billy would be a good match, though. The age gap is too big - and I'm talking about maturity and life experience here, more than the numbers. I'm not sure I can see Billy training at Streatham, either, and Ashlie is reportedly unwilling to train anywhere else.
