It depends on location. TD place isn’t bad but the NHL arena( Scotia I think but it’s changed names so many times it’s hard to keep up) is an abomination. Literally in the middle of a field of a suburb.
I thought it was confirmed she wasn’t.
Has there been any confirmation that Minsol is actually switching, or is it still a common assumption?
There was a statement earlier in the season that she was just doing some domestic competitions. At the same time, it did not say that she would be continuing to represent Korean - so it's all a bit unknown (unless I've missed something since).

Then, I hope she moves up, so she can challenge herself more against Maddie and co.
Even though, I think she is better than all of our senior skaters already.

I heard she wasn’t happy missing Junior Worlds last season to the Kim twins.
Her goal is to go to the Olympics in 2030.
1) She probably thought the depth in Korea is too high (mind you this was before the Haein Lee and Young You incident). With Jia, Chaeyon, Haein and two 3A Kim twins to compete against. Maybe, she thinks it will be easier to attain this Olympics goal by switching to Canada.
2) Lia Cho isn’t eligible to compete for 2030 games. So, less competition during this upcoming Olympic cycle.
3) She can aim to get an Olympic medal as part of the Team Event (if Russia is still not eligible)
The only drawback is that our Canadian judges are really strict on under rotated jumps. She had so many carrots at her domestic event this season and only scored 165.97. So, maybe, these judges might scare her back to Korea.
But, if you think about it. The parents and her, have to move to a new country. They have jobs most likely now in Canada and starting a new life. To me, decisions like this, are made as soon as the parents decide to make the move.
Also, because of her results last season, she has to give diplomatic answers as I believe she received funding from Korea federation, this season. So, they can’t give a clear answer until this season is over.
In my opinion, it is more likely than not, that she is switching over to Canada.
I think Minsol has the same problem as Chaeyeon Kim - she doesn't quite fit the mould which the Korean federation favours. Chaeyeon has got away with it through others faltering (she would be much more suited to the European circuit).

Let's hope. I need to come back one day to spread more kindness in Canada, trying to match one I've received last March
Plus if Piper and Paul will continue...I will find it hard to stop myself lol.

you will have to wait another year... she's not eligible in JGP 2025, only 2026
I was going to say the same thing. But, then remembered that today is 2025. So, the poster may have meant “seeing Cho in the JGP next year” as in see her in the fall of 2026…

After watching the Jr ladies at Challenge and Nationals are there any predictions for new additions to this years Next Gen team? Im guessing a few from last year will not make it again… possibly Lucille Yang, Mely-Ann Gagner? Thoughts?

i thought so too... but then she didn't compete at all at Korean domestic events.... I have a feeling she's could be testing the waters before asking definitely for a release ?

I was having thoughts about these two as they are so talented yet didn't qualify for Nationals.
I am not sure what the criteria is for selection.
@saine can enlighten us maybe ?
