Will he still do the 3F in the short, though? There's no compulsory solo jump in seniors, so he can replace it with a different one. Just needs a little bit of adjustment to the choreo for the entry.

That was what Hetty did last season. She did a 3Lo instead of the 3Lz in the short when she moved up to Senior domestically. That probably factored into Skate Canada deciding on Lulu for Junior Worlds.

Yes. Hetty didn't have a 3Lz whereas Lulu had a fairly reliable one. It was the correct selection call. Swapping out the 3Lz probably was also what got Hetty onto the podium and into the National team, so it worked well for her from that point of view.
