it's coming from far away from way north western provinces...

back in the days, we would have a few days of smog coming from detroit... and going all along the st.lawrence seaway... but these forest fires are something else.

The worst thing is that weather extremes just linger for so long now. We had two weeks back in June/early July with consistent 32+ °C, then three or so weeks of rain and now another predicted week of temperatres over 30 °C.

All the while, I'm just here trying to finally finish writing my thesis without going crazy. Wish me luck, my material & methods part alone is like 20 pages

it's going to get worse...nobody is really interested in doing anything other than denying the whole thing

Most of July here was quite rainy, but when it wasn't it was scorching hot.

I havent seen 30 celsius in forever. Wish it would push the mid 30s so I can hit the lake. We all want what we cant have I suppose... when it gets too hot I hate it too!

They are. It has affected our air quality too. Last summer, also. But I don't remember this air quality issue happening much before.

I've played tennis in the broiling heat 90s w the bad air. no other option. my pulminary doc put me on preds for a week. love tennis too much. it's the new normal. brutal.

They are. It has affected our air quality too. Last summer, also. But I don't remember this air quality issue happening much before.

There was one summer that was worse a few years back... This summer is steady bad... less intense but always smoggy. It does affect me as I walk to work every day and swim outside 3 times a week... i just looked at the forecast and it will be smoky all week...
The other side down is that I cannot do stargazing... which is already difficult in a city but the sky is always covered now.
