2025 CS Lombardia Trophy Men's Short Program

This is the one time where I am okay with Ilia getting higher PCS than Yuma. Yuma, with his cramp, stopped skating for quite a while. That would affect the performance and the choreography. Not the skating skills mind you.
Same here. Still, Yuma is my hero of the day and it was funny how in the first part of his program cameraman had trouble to follow him because he was sooooo fast and amazing.

I really want to believe that Yuma's PCS were deducted because of the pause he did (leg cramping), it was quite long.
He's very lucky that he didn't get a deduction for an interruption to the program, because I'm pretty sure that was more than 10 seconds.

I feel badly for him. It's not something that you could anticipate, and it's certainly not something you see all the time.

Tracked down a few programs on social media:

Yuma:
I love love LOVE this music. My favorite of the season. I never say this about a cover. Ever. So I am inclined to love this program, ten second rest and all. But I am hoping for a clean one later.

Adam SHF:

after reading the comments here, I was prepared for some horror show costume.

Are we looking at the same one: pastel and beige and impressions of a male torso? Geez Louise it's not that bad. It does need to be tailored more.

Ilia:

He certainly laid it down, didn't he? I agree with everyone else. I don't understand the second half, but it's not meant for me, so who cares? :)

I think I understand what he's trying to go for, but the transition in the music needs to be a little better. The first half is wandering around, and acquiring the stuff you need before you engage in the fight that you need to win to beat the level which is the second half of the program.

I've never played the game that this program is based on, so I have no idea how the actual game mechanics work, so I'm working off my general knowledge of video games that my friends have talked about. I've played my fair share of computer games, but I was always more of a Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon, etc. type of gamer.

He's getting hit at every turn for that costume.

"Por favor que cambie su vestuario"
Please change your wardrobe.

"Chi gli ha consigliato il costume non gli vuole molto bene"
Whoever recommended the costume to him doesn't like him very much.

And plain English that I agree with word for word:
"The costume is distracting me from the performance and the music. It's just so in your face it's hard to focus on anything else."

Just wear black.

Yet somehow he looks like the most chill guy in da school.
He seems to be able to relax during the competitions that do not determine the season's outcome. I saw him go out and cheer for each of the fellow competitor in SkAm with his dad while waiting to skate, but in the worlds, he was focused like crazy and out of sight until he went on ice.

I am on the women still, but can't wait Malinin's new program. Even my FS allergic daughter was excited about Prince of Persia. It was a cool game.

Astronomical pressure? Ah comon, he just got 1.5 points more than Kagiyama in PCS. He doesn't even have to go onto the ice, the judges will give him the Olympic gold anyway.
I don't see it that way at all. Unlike Kagiyama, Malinin doesn't have a queue of strong second boys/back up. He is currently it in US skating for podiums. He had won world title twice. Way too many people want him to fail and openly sneer at his success which is hard earned both in tech and the second mark. He puts huge efforts into it, it's plain to see. While training technical load outside other skaters' range. If he wins Olympic title it would be because he is that good. If he loses, it's not for the lack of trying.

Thanks, I would never have understood that it was a video game (I wouldn’t know if Prince of Persia was a game, a movie or a real live royal person).

I still miss Crystal Cave. Before games had music.

LOL... and again, I like it.

What a weirdo I am :)

I guess Adam, Matteo, Kao, and others also had cramps and made pauses.

Because Malinin WON the PCS in this short program.
I think Matteo should have the highest PCS for this SP, today... but as we know, judges give the two quad guys bonuses. I hate it.

Omigosh, they are not putting too fine of a point on Memola being tall, dark and handsome. All that dark red and gold...

AAA games have amazing music. A lot of games released OSTs. Ubisoft is a giant company and a lot of games' ambiance is created by the composers, there are themes and songs in the background etc. Like, the crew sings sea shanties as you sail or crowds in revolutionary Paris sing Marcellaiese.... I've played every Assassin Creed (Ubi's) game up to Mirage and Shadows (because I am on Bg3 binge and need to buy new rig for AC and latest DA) and, well, it's amazing. That's like 13 or so games. Anyway, the last thing I expected to talk about on FS forum is Ubi, but anyway. I am excited.

Also, hope Kagiyama's foot is feeling better by the free.
