Boney M were super popular in late 70s across Europe, so for me it was on point for the theme.

Oh, I know Boney M is well & proper '70s I simply didn't feel the program and choreography itself, in fact both French top teams felt somewhat sterile today.

Good morning!

This morning I think I hate whoever decides the RD themes. Not only do I - like with every competition the last two years - have too much of the music I had determinedly forgotten revived and stuck in my head, but I dreamed that Worlds 2025 was won by matched pairs of sparkly, thigh-high, bright red Not Yet Put On Boogie Shoes that still managed to Walk All Over Everyone.

By themselves.

I am sure people who came up with this thought "Okay, this spans 30 years, there are thousands of potential songs. It is extremely unlikely any pair would choose same music piece..."

Except they have prior experience that the skaters will do exactly that...

I am so overjoyed for Loicia and Theo that they received a season’s best and personal best here. I love their new RD costumes and they were noticeably faster and sharper here than they have been all season. I was so worried for them based off how they were performing and being scored earlier in the season in fear that the judges were going to dump them, but they danced with renewed fire and attack today.

Other highlights: Juulia and Matthias and Evgeniia and Geoffrey are two other teams I constantly cheer for and they also both earned season’s bests and personal bests here in the RD. Evgeniia and Geoffrey beating Lilah and Lewis has to be huge for their confidence and momentum. Bravo!!

I don't really love any of the programmes from the top 5 from last year's worlds this season. Probably less than a handful of I AM programmes are strong this year. 1 of those is the L/B RD; the Smart/Dieck Dune Free is another. I really hope they come up with some much better material for the Olympic season for their teams.

Choosing a disco routine for Lilah & Lewis was a mistake, they have done it before plus about 80%+ of the RD programmes seem to be disco themed; doesn't stand out at all. I would have gone with a Glam Rock Programme for them; still in their wheel house but would have offered something a bit different. Although of course if you're out of sync on your twizzles then the judges have to take that into account for your technical score.

I'm surprised L/G are placed as high as they are to be honest - both this year's programmes are very forgettable, and for me, very similar in concept and they seem nowhere near as sharp or matching as the Italians, French or Finns.
