2025 GP Finlandia Trophy Men's Short Program

I could teach my fiancé karate in exchange for skating lessons…

43 PCS is too high for Yuma given 2 huge mistakes.

More than the mistakes what needs to be talked about is the lack of extension through the upper body, the amateurish moments of arm choreography, and the lack of projection. Yuma is NOT the prince that was promised.

Aww, Deniss made an unfortunate error in the spin; came out early and short on revolutions. 😬
I think his injury is the reason we're seeing that happen here. He spoke about pulling a muscle on his left side that's impacting his spins.

Highly disagree. Yuma is doing choreo and transitions throughout his program. Look at the composition of his program compared to Adam's. It's night and day in the first half. Adam just does crossovers until his jumps are done then he performs flat out. Yuma has difficult choreo throughout. If clean he deserves a lot higher PCS, today he wasn't and he got 43. What Yuma is doing should be rewarded

Jason also has more difficult choreo and I agree that he should be more highly rewarded. Matteo Rizzo as well. But, lets be honest, we all know the juges are going to reward higher technical content. I'm just saying that compared to the highest scoring person here what Yuma does is exceptional.

i go wash my hair. see you later for girls

The only thing that's exceptional is his basic skating quality.

He isn't doing any kind of truly special Matt Savoie type of transitions, like a hydroblade into a 3A, and his choreo is bland. There's no cohesive story being told, nor strong feeling being evoked, nor interesting body shapes being created with his movement.
