Jiyu. Gorgeous green dress. Great program. Great presentation and skate.

That was a lovely skate! Jiyu has such comfortable-looking jumps. I liked the free leg in attitude as she came out of the combination. Good spins - how nice to see a variation in arm position in the Ina Bauer! A really enjoyable step sequence as well, with good use of her upper body throughout. And into the lead - what a good debut for Jiyu!

Oh. I thought everybody used the same letters. (I guess I haven't been paying enough attention to what was in the country columns on the tables I have always written "DEU" automatically on here).

Surely using different letters makes things confusing. It's a wonder the IOC weren't made to fall into line with the NATO standard.

Oh wait, it's the IOC! We only have to look at how figure skating is done at the Olympics compared to Worlds to see that they do their own thing, no matter how confusing it makes things.
