Nobody but nobody PRESENTS during lifts like Deanna! You GO GIRL! Very happy for them having a strong skate.

Also really impressed with Periera / Michaud. Where did she come from? Still catching up on all that has changed over the last few seasons.

They've been skating together for a while now. She was a singles skater. When Walsh retired, they did a try out. She had very little experience and is still learning to master some of the throws but they are usually, and I say, usually, solid with everything else.

Speaking of Spanish music, I always thought Abeniz's La Vega and El Deseo would be nice for figure skating but skaters only go for Asturias. Also regardless of FS Albodara (Dawn) is pretty interesting.

Danny and Ellie are still in ther fighting it out. They might be feeling the pressure of several possible other Aerican teams getting citizenship. I am glad for Lia and Trennt as they have not had good skates. I wonder, and of course we all are armchair coaches, if Deanna and Max just need to constant run throughs really getting the rhythm of those jumps and throws . They need to be clean as they hae no ultra hard elements They don't have a highlight move unlike other teams (well other than in the sp I guess there is the backflip. I think I would like to see Max and Deanna really play to the audience andjudges in the fs. Really be divas and Angelique Krylova it.

I am curious to know what the highlight move of other teams are ?

Deanna and Max have one of the biggest scoring twists of the entire field. The twist, is actually most of the time, when everyone goes clean, the dealmaker or dealbreaker in the SP. Some teams have a harder throw (flip.lutz) but that doesn't give that much more points... especially in the SP where other teams will do a loop (so 0.5 points ahead in BV). Max and Deanna also use the highest scoring death spiral. They have perfect unison in their SBS spins. They also have unique lifts.

I am trying to figure out what elements are so special from other teams as you mention.

What other teams have over Max and Deanna :

Japanese : incredible speed

Germans : more refinement in posture. more consistency

Georgians : usually more consistent elements

I don't see special scoring elements like Duhamel-Radford throw quad salchow or SBS triple lutzes anywhere...

Honestly, their first season, I did think he was throwing her too hard.. but then, not so much anymore. How many seasons have they been skating together ? With such an experience thrower, maybe it's just something that will not get fixed. It happens. What Ellie did today was save a fall... which means that are still able to contend for the podium. But to be a top class team, they will not be able to rely only of their gorgeous lifts. The jumps are also often under-rotated. I remember an event where all 4 "dismount" elements were missed. I am not too invested in this team which helps me because otherwise, I'd be stressed out and would start to lose enthusiasm. Again, it's unfortunate because they do so many things so well.
