Elyce is such a nervous skater kind of like watching Gracie in her heyday. It's all there but the competitive nerves.

Her face does remind me of Gracie.

Definitely not Amber's best today. But it's probably better to get the bad program out of the way before Worlds, it's far easier to go into that competition as a bit of a dark horse with a chip on your shoulder after a poor outing than coming off of two strong programs. In the long run, I think this will be a benefit for her as she heads towards a home Worlds (she's pretty much guaranteed to get on the team after winning the Final). Plus, she didn't let herself get down after the two opening mistakes, and performed this program the best that I've ever seen it.

I got so used to Amber going clean in the short that the mistakes surprised me. Still it wasn't a meltdown and she still has the advantage in the free.

Aww, Amber, the pressure was too great. On the quarter with the 3Axel and 2-footed. Doubling the 3toe was the most costly error.

Aww, I don’t like to see Lindsay so upset, but the judging is fair and her international results don’t give the panel any reason to hold her up.

The TES is fair. The PCS not so much. Lindsay has among the strongest SS and Choreo here. Some strange PCS judging IMHO. Definitely playing favorites.
