2025 World Championships Women's Short Program

Listening to our judge commentator he said Alysa's skating is just one move from beginning to the end. No big waiting times or just only skating without doing nothing between the elements, but she has choreo all the time, that the reason she got good pcs.
She keeps a great speed, choreography is beautiful and composition is very well thought thru. Waka has better skating skills tho. But yea Wakas program aside of stsq is kinda whatever this season.

The score to qualify for the free

2021 - 57.72
2022 - 55.71
2023 - 54.65
2024 - 53.81
2025 - 53.68 (or lower)

So, the level keeps going down? Maybe because of the senior age changes:unsure:
I also noticed this. I think the score to qualify would be higher if so many mistakes didn't happen.

Did not see Niina practice - how did she do - anyone know?

Btw, I just rewatched Alysa on big screen on tape delay. Her 3f/3t was squeaky clean.

Let it be known that I love both Wakaba and Alisa, I didn't post anything after Alisa's skate because I was so moved by how well she did. 🥲

Alyssa's triple combo was nowhere near 'squeaky clean.' As the commentator stated during the replay after having praised Alyssa's performance to the skies, 'Oops, the second triple was underrotated. She got away with that one.' She def 'got away' with that UR. Don't know what angle they showed on the screen to make it look good to the crowd and uphold the judges. 🤨
