Honestly confused by a lot of these comments. Yes, Isabeau and , specifically, Alyssa ( because that combo was definitely q) had some technical calls ignored. But, so did the Japanese skaters. Mone has a flutz like Isabeau. Isabeau's flutz was called, her combo wasn't. Mone's flutz wasn't called her combo was. Fair enough. Wakaba also got a really blind technical panel that ignored her 3Fe and her q on the combo. Also, PCS wise, I love Wakaba ( she's one of my faves) but she has almost no transitions or performance until all the jumps are done which is why every judging panel gives similar limited PCS. She's very musically gifted but doesn't really hit other bullet points. The judges completely ignored Kaori's complete lack of commitment to her program and mistakes and gave her the highest PCS and didn't call her flutz.. So, IMHO all the American and Japanese woman were overscored and, frankly, no one was underscored in this competition. Maybe, you don't like the results but they are fair enough given today's programs and the scores of the top 10 are all close enough for a lot of change to happen in the free. I suspect a lot of change will happen.
