I thought FB/C deserved the win, yeah, the twizzles weren't great but they are just better skaters than Chock/Bates and it showed in the rest of the program. Their choreo for the free isn't my cup of tea, but they performed it magnificently.

M & E have just won their first individual medal after 4/5 olympics. I'm happy for P and P. So happy for them.

I'm sure in the fullness of time Maddie and Evan will be very happy with their medal and with their very long and very successful career. But it's still got to sting tonight.

The "fix" being that he is probably the best ice dancer ever and nobody else is able to reach his level.

No. The programs of Gabby/Gui were superior. However, I am glad they one. They proved that with real talent, an equally paired couple, doesn't have to wait in line for a medal. That was good. CB could never win Olympic Gold with such inferior skating skills. They are clean and neat, but not impressive.

The whole golden skate is. But judges were struck by those glutes. Struck I tell you. No other valid reason otherwise.

I know this music is supposed to be the sort to highlight artistry or what-not, but this music is doing nothing for me.

For me, I really like the music. However I don't like their costumes, I know they attempted to go for beautiful minimalism, and this is not a fashion competion (but maybe it should? ). But they still didn't work for me.

My problem with this is, that it is akin to watching Rafael Nadal win his 9th French Open. Yea good for him, he is the greatest, but I can't get excited about it anymore, getit? I have seen him do it before and do it better, and all of it just starts to feel like glorified victory lap.

Congrats to the medalists. I’m British so disappointed for Lilah and Lewis. Piper and Paul were brilliant. I had hoped Chock & Bates would win Gold.

Oh my heart dropped for Lilah! To have that happen at the Olympics. I hope she's not too upset or people too mean.

Don't know what to make of Laurence and Guillaume winning. But then I've never been a fan of the Free Dances he does... I find them kind of boring. Also as I understand it he was real jerk to Gabbi so you know.

Everyone will focus on the twizzles because they are the easiest to judge by viewers who are not experts in the intricacies of ice dance rulebook, but there is way more to ice dance than just twizzles.

He is the best. No question. But not his usual self today. I expected they would blow the roof off but they did not.

I think the big difference is the charisma ... C/B are good but are missing something in the ice je ne sais quoi ... and G. has it .. that's why he won ... that's why I like pairs a throw is a throw

I think we are stuck with them for years to come..

part of me hopes they will realize they aren't loved and go away for good, but other part knows that 4 years watchers may actually love them
