When whole forum is cheering for bronze team and ignoring gold and silver. Wow. This shows something went really bad.

I think really what it shows is the overwhelming love for Piper and Paul. If anyone ever deserved it, it's them.

He's a one note skater. It's boring. All he does is lyrical contemporary free dances.

I think this is what bothers me about this couple. She didn't bring anything new, they just replaced Gabby with her and did the same thing again. And it feels like a cheap win, even though they are great. She also doesn't really show much personality in her skating, as if she's intimidated.

Paul was crying like nobody else though. Really happy for him and Piper- in G&G it felt like he was trying to hold it together for both of them after the GPF- but this must be lifting a huge pressure of him as well.

Marco said that they are tired, not entirely happy about the 4th place but they gave it all and are happy with the Team Medal. They're taking time to rest (and to decide whether they'll be at Worlds).
Charlene is moved, she's in tears, thanks all her relatives and friends who came to see them. She says that double duty has been very tiring and says she's proud of Marco.

Congrats to the medalists. I’m British so disappointed for Lilah and Lewis. Piper and Paul were brilliant. I had hoped Chock & Bates would win Gold.

I absolutely loved Lilah & Lewis...so much charm and so much heart! Wish they had done more of "500 Miles" but I'll take whatever I can get.

Poor Lilah was just interviewed on HBOMax and she sounded devastated and on the verge of tears, I feel for her, I wish journalists had given her more time before pestering her.

I thought FB/C deserved the win, yeah, the twizzles weren't great but they are just better skaters than Chock/Bates and it showed in the rest of the program. Their choreo for the free isn't my cup of tea, but they performed it magnificently.

I guess it comes down to if ice dance is only a skating skills competition because no doubt the French have the best skating skills. But, they don't have the complicated choreo, lifts, connection to each other or variety of movement that P2, the Italians, or C/ B have. To me, skating skills are important but so are holds, choreo etc. So. Imho they aren't the best. They are just a new team with a lot of potential. Others may disagree. The judges here did.

Go look at twizzles of Maddie and Evan, they practically have no ice coverage. COME ON, if it weren't for the controversy, we'd be happy for FB/C. Maddie and Evan did not deserve gold.

Not my forte but I think that with... compulsory patterns and stuff missing, more time is spent on...... showmanship and less on skating quality?

Still papadakis was better, there is a thing about pairs who skate long together, they mirror each other's movements and expressions more.

With Laurence its more theatrics but less fluidity.
