How did he cheat? In judging, as far as I know, you need 3, one is crossed out as an outlier, 2 others go in to tip the scale and the ace of cheating is to make sure the judges do not belong to the nation they are propping to avoid a strike for national basis.
Pay attention to the low GOE and low PCS he gave to Piper and Paul in comparison to the majority of the judging panel in the team event RD. The fix was in to boost Lilah and Lewis even when they were noticeably sloppier than Piper and Paul. I’m not saying the judges of a federation shouldn’t support their skaters, but when your team makes errors and it’s obvious how much higher you are judging them compared to the rest of the panel and then you are very blatantly holding down their closest competitors, who committed no noticeably obvious errors, in comparison to what the rest of the panel is doing, then their should be serious questioning and consequences for cheating.

Just look at protocol what numbers he gave to the Canadians - every GOE and every component was lower than any other judges gave them. It means the "real" lowest marks will count for them because only those ridicolous ones will be removed.
Even if his marks were removed it still affects the score and he's still a cheater.

My thing is that flowers die and you can't really bring them back with you across borders on a plane...I think. Cause of agricultural and food restrictions coming to certain countries.
Flowers wilt and die just like all glory. And that is fine. They biodegrade. Some skaters do keep some toys but divest themselves of them over the years except for a very few. Ask MK how many plastic toys she kept. But pics with her holding flowers? They are still out there. This olys is being touted on NBC as eco friendly. They are using old venues spread out over many hours of mountain road driving, and mass transit takes even longer...who wants a plastic toy after receiving a precious gold medal?

He isnt the only one at the olys....

That's a fair point about them being biodegradable.

I wonder how long the Italian party went on last night and how much sleep Charlene and Marco actually got :)
Either way, they can skate completely free today and enjoy every single minute.

If his marks were removed, he showed national bias, and it would count against him. Now, if his marks were just low enough to count, or removed with other 2 judges showing the same trend and you can show reciprocation, now, that indicates probable willful cheating. But if enough judges mark Canadians low, at some point, it is not a conspiracy, it's just what it is. Ice dance decided by hive mind of judges. Same to @museksk8r

Anyway, judges cheating is an artform, and do not underestimate the hive mind of the leet insider community within FS world. They have factions and ties that go back decades. We'll never penetrate it and it is more subtle than cheating.

Ordinarily, I'd agree with you. But something has been fishy about the British judges in ice dance this year when scoring Piper and Paul. I've noticed it before now. I don't know if it's the same judge every time though.

I wonder if the panel for the team event will be the panel for the individual event.

It was just posted and the Brit is in.

I think they are already happy and will skate from the heart for the audience and themselves without much pressure. It actually may help their marks if other teams will be tight and nervours. I wish them a great olympic moment they deserve regardless of the result.

GO MIlla and Nikolaj!

Here talking about their olympic dreams since they were kids, how happy and proud they are, that Nikolaj also competed in singles in Beijing and how they deal with nervousness.
Thanks, love to learn new things about them. I had a feeling Milla had some sort of connection to Sweden, and the article just confirmed it, she spent a lot of time there as a child. I wonder if she has some relatives in Sweden as well, from my perspective Milla sounds more like a Swedish name then Norwegian. I can´t name a person I know in real life that has that name. But it´s possible it´s a name that is more common more south, after all, Oslo is pretty close to the border of Sweden.

But the Brit doesn't have an obvious friend on tech panel, and since people didn’t show an alliance, I dunno if he has friends among judges. I'd say, watch if he helps China and see if China doesn’t like Canadians. Also, it's always worth watching who marks the Georgians high. Have fun!

Anyone have any idea how long the RD will last.
I want to record it as I won't be able to watch live.
