Fun program by the Brits, but...didn't feel or look like the '90s. It was good, just not the "larping the nineties" feel which supposedly was sought after.

Ahead of my kid Emilea Zingas skating later on, we have the appearance of our first Cypriot of the night - George Michael.

And at least it is the real "Freedom", not Robbie Williams' cover.

I am totally biased when it comes to Phebe and James. I just love them.

Still don't love Phebe's dress, but when you're as gorgeous as Phebe is, it doesn't matter!

Penny Coombes / Nick Buckland greeting them at the boards.

And was that Phil Harris that they showed holding the flag in the audience? (If it is, he's had his hair cut since I last saw him!)

They go into the lead.

If his marks were removed, he showed national bias, and it would count against him. Now, if his marks were just low enough to count, or removed with other 2 judges showing the same trend and you can show reciprocation, now, that indicates probable willful cheating. But if enough judges mark Canadians low, at some point, it is not a conspiracy, it's just what it is. Ice dance decided by hive mind of judges. Same to @museksk8r

Anyway, judges cheating is an artform, and do not underestimate the hive mind of the leet insider community within FS world. They have factions and ties that go back decades. We'll never penetrate it and it is more subtle than cheating.
simply look at the protocols from the team event RD. It's blatantly obvious. ALL his scores for GOE and PCS were lower for Piper and Paul than all other 8 judges. He is the only one who gave them a score below 9 in PCS. Yet, his scores for the Brits are high.... :)

Every judge will most likely score their own team favourably. It's almost normal. We are all biased. BUT, when a judge goes out of their way to lowball the direct competitors of their own team, in a race for the bronze medal, you gotta call it for what it is : cheating

4. Milla Ruud REITAN & Nikolaj MAJOROV SWE 🇸🇪
RD: "Living La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin, Draco Rosa and Desmond Child; "Maria (Spanglish Radio Edit)" by Ricky Martin; "La Copa de la Vida" by Ricky Martin, Luis Gómez Escolar, Desmond Child, Robi Draco Rosa, choreo by Andrea Vaturi

SyTwW+SyTwM (drifts apart a bit on the second set)
DiStW1+DiStM1
PSt1
ChRS1 +2.70
RoLi4

RD: 67.31 (2nd)

I am so impressed with the improvements of this team, and I'm so happy they managed to make it to the Olympics. Four years ago Nikolaj was competing as a singles skater in Beijing, and now he's at the Olympics as an ice dancer with a lot of potential. He and Milla have had to overcome a lot, with Milla having a shoulder dislocation earlier this season and having questions about her citizenship, but they managed to have a great Olympic debut. They struggled a teeny bit with their spacing in this program, and they were a little too amped at certain points, which cost them levels, butt they have such a great natural flow across the ice and I'm so excited to see them in the next four years.
