La/La were very impressive apart from a slight lack of synchronicity in the second twizzle.

But they deserve a better music.

Bulgarian commentators who I usually like just said the the ISU's idea for this year theme was wonderful and I couldn't disagree more strongly.

This rhythm dance and this team are both so, so good. The skating is so strong, Emilea has improved so much as an ice dancer over the past few years, and this program is unique, musical, and high-energy. The switch between sharp and fluid choreography is so impressive. They had some of the best twizzles we've seen so far today. Vadym has a lot of family in the audience who travelled from Ukraine to come see him skate, and I'm so happy they got see him lay it down on Olympic ice.

IMO they should have made it into 1st because this program is so much better!

Really cool rotational lift. It isn't my favorite program but seems to have really landed with the crowd.

I wouldn’t say C/B were expected to lead in 2015. W/P and the Shibutanis were also very good at that time. What really rocked the boat was V/M returning in the 2017 season for a 3rd run at the Olympics. I highly doubt Guillaume would be back if he had been able to win Olympic gold in 2018 and 2022, if he would have even stuck around after winning gold in 2018.
