Which program will I remember, want to rewatch, or talk about? Honestly, none... if there are no jumps... at least let there be charisma on the ice... but no... If the RD was supposed to be more creative... it's not working... I was left wishing I had seen consecutive waltzes or tangos... but I doubt most couples could have pull the steps.
The older ones could have. But, based on several comments here many people want the old guard out. Maybe that's what these rule changes are designed to do..

Im not a dance person, but what effect will C/B skating after P2 (who are considered stronger technically)and before FB/C have? I have to wonder.
It will have no impact on them since G/P are chronically underscored internationally. I will always wonder how G/P would have been received all these years if they had moved training bases to IAM; I believe they would have been multiple time world champions this quad.

Well, well, well. The first time all season that the RD excited me, not because of the music - I just don't like the theme - but because of the outcomes. Good for Olivia and Tim! Not so good for Madison and Evan (although the difference is minimal) whose Dance just was a little less sharp then in the TE. There's no denying it. I am happy about Piper and Paul being in 3rd place though. Please skating Gods, let them stay there!
I know it's highly unlikely, but I would absolutely love Piper and Paul to win Gold.

Oh wow. FB & C ahead of C & B despite skating early.

And we get a glimpse of smiley but angry Madison Chock..

I did enjoy the chuckles from the audience when they realised the music choice of the Lithuanian team.

The 90s theme really did work in that venue with that crowd. It looked electric and brought out the high energy presentation.

Again, check out judge 3 from Great Britain giving Piper and Paul only a +2 for their twizzles when every other judge gave them +4/+3. He also only gave them +1 for their pattern step when every other judge gave them +3-+5. He’s also the only judge who gave them all PCS in the 8s. Ban this cheater already!

Well i just hope if FB/C do win they won't last until 2030 i want these older teams to finally retire and let the younger teams have the spotlight. FB/C are one of those older teams they aren't that much younger then G/P, Gui/Fab or C/B. But i'm worried with the Winter Olympics being in France in 2030 they will stick around and so a team that will be almost as old as Gui/Fab will be just awaiting their coronation as Olympic champions again. The though of that makes me want to vomit.

It's actually probably the result of the newly sharpened skates for those who were on the podium. Both the Italians and the Americans got lower levels and were a bit cautious in sections. They were both a lot more free in the team event. It's interesting how small things have big effects.

I guess they will be doing lots of edge work before Wednesday or spend hours shaving the ice (I need someone to post a video of Charlene doing edges, watching her is friggin mystical experience).

You're forgetting how G & P were THE team at the beginning of this olympic cycle. Judges were throwing points at them while Chock & Bates were struggling.

Some of the reasons why they aren't at the top were just plain bad luck beyond their control- but others, like mistakes in competition and the 80s rhythm dance- that's on them

He's shameless. Also, isn't Carol Lane British? She's useless.

I hope Chock and Bates don't end up regretting doing both team segments.
They have 2 team Olympic gold medals and 3 World gold medals; they should be the last ice dance team on earth with any regrets. It’s the change in panel. There are some different judges on this panel versus the panel from the team event. Some went with FB/C over C/B; we all knew it was going to be super close between these 2 teams.

Yeah. Canadian judges are never ever biased.
