I hope not! I really enjoyed them at the Olympics and was disappointed that they didn't go to Worlds.

I'm not too concerned about the GBR judge but FRA is another story.

What does everyone think about G/F’s intentions of staying in competitive skating? Are they just blowing smoke or are they serious? I do believe if ice dance returns to more of its foundational roots in terms of compulsories and emphasizing skating skills, then it could benefit a team like G/F.

I think they're blowing the smoke. It's seems like a right time to go. However, maybe the federation want to have them for a bit longer untill some other team will establish themself at senior stage. If that;s the case, who knows.

I am really happy for Piper and Paul and, of course, Emi and Vadym. This event was some of the best ice dancing. What a year.

Best to all this spring and summer as we await the retirements, changes, schedules and new programs. It's been quite the year.

at least on G/P their actual score was close (even if placement was so different): 123.31 by Cyprus and 122.33 by Australia
On L/L: 108.29 by Cyprus vs 128.03 by Australian

I have never seen such crazy protocols at worlds. Never.

It's all over the place. LaLa with 108? Really ? Wow.

Looking at the judges scores, I see that Lilah and Lewis were penalized 2 points for an illegal element. Mark mentioned the lift being too high? But all elements received scoring, none were considered -. If an element is illegal, why are are there judges scores for that element?

Crazy how a country that was not known as a powerhouse in Ice Dancing has won more Worlds medals in Ice Dance then any other country since B/A started the run of American teams on the podium in 2005. This makes it 11 World championships in a row with a medal.

Yeah 5th in the Olympics and 4th in Worlds is a record debut.

Not sure about that. They need to back up this year with strong programs next year. The Shibs went 5 years without getting close to another medal until 2016. The key thing is to not regress like the Shibs did but keep improving.
