I read this interview with Sokolovskaya https://fs-gossips.com/svetlana-sok...g-a-lazy-person-is-generally-a-big-advantage/
She seemed to be one of the few Russian singles coaches whose attitude towards skating and life is healthy and balanced. She enjoys good relationships with her students. I still remember how she laughed hysterically with Samarin when he had a horrible skate and was still , somehow, leading the competition.
So, I like her as a coach. I don't think she will force her students to train through serious injury. I like Trusova very much (as a person more than as a skater). And, hope she will be happy and, perhaps, successful under her new coach. The Olympics women's event left such a bad taste in my mouth that I have found myself completely uninterested in women's skating this year. It would restore some of my interest if Sasha and the other injured skaters including my favorites Rika, Aliona, Bradie do manage to defy the odds and make come backs.
